Every year, each school in District IV is provided with 4 plaques to recognize individual student-athletes in regards to athleticism and sportsmanship.  The Athletic Department has a very difficult decision in selecting only the following:
Outstanding Male Athlete
Outstanding Female Athlete
Outstanding Male Sportsmanship
Outstanding Female Sportsmanship

The Athletic Department has devised the following process to include all Varsity coaches in the selection of award winners:
  1. Only Seniors are eligible
  2. Each Varsity coach, the Principal, the Athletic Trainer and the Athletic Director vote for (2) male and (2) female athletes for each award
  3. Each Varsity coach may vote for ANY athlete…not only athletes from their respective sport
  4. The first nominee receives 5 points and the second nominee receives 3 points
  5. All points are calculated, and the winners are notified and presented the plaque in one of the Senior meetings prior to graduation
